About
Pelerin carries two meanings in Romanian. The first is pilgrim — someone who moves with purpose, crosses difficult terrain, and arrives somewhere worth being. The second is the peregrine falcon — the fastest animal on the planet, built for precision and velocity in equal measure. Both meanings were intentional. We started this company because we believe most digital projects fail not from lack of technology, but from lack of direction. Speed without clarity is just expensive chaos. Too many teams build before they think, ship before they understand, and optimise before they've found what's worth optimising.
We are a small, focused studio working at the intersection of software engineering and human-AI collaboration. Our own tool, reespec, came directly from the problem of building well: how do you move fast without losing the thread of what you're actually trying to do? Every project we take on goes through the same discipline — understand the problem first, then design the solution, then build it. In that order, without shortcuts.
Our clients are businesses that want to be understood before they're served. They don't come to us for a template. They come because they have a real problem and need someone who will sit with them long enough to figure out what it actually is.

TECH
We work in short, transparent cycles. Before we write a line of code, we write a brief — what this is, what it isn't, and why it matters. Before we design anything, we talk strategy. Before we ship, we test. This is not a slow process; it's a fast one that doesn't have to be redone.
Our process is built around reespec — a structured collaboration framework we developed and use on every engagement. It keeps the human in control of the direction while letting AI accelerate the execution. Discovery, planning, implementation, evaluation: each phase has clear outputs and clear handoffs. Nothing gets lost between conversations.
We work with you, not around you. That means you see the work as it develops, you understand the decisions being made, and you can redirect at any point without losing what was built. We don't disappear after a kickoff call and resurface weeks later with a surprise. Progress is shared and continuous.
Our team is small by design. Every project has a senior person responsible for it from start to finish. No handoffs to juniors mid-project, no account managers as intermediaries. You talk to the person doing the work.
We believe that honest work is the only kind worth doing. That means telling clients when their initial idea is the wrong solution, even when it would be easier to just build it. It means accurate timelines instead of optimistic ones. It means taking responsibility when something doesn't land as intended and fixing it without being asked.
We believe craft matters. Not in the aesthetic sense of over-engineering beautiful abstractions — in the practical sense of building things that hold up over time, that future developers can understand, that don't become technical debt six months after launch. A website or application that works reliably and can grow with your business is worth more than one that impresses in a demo.
We believe in long relationships over large projects. Our best clients are the ones who come back not because they're locked in, but because the previous work earned their trust. We'd rather do three years of focused work with five clients than chase volume. Growth, for us, means depth — more capability, more understanding, more impact — not more names on a client list.
If that sounds like what you're looking for, let's talk.
