Pelerin CMS — A Headless CMS Built for Real Client Needs

Context
Every client project surfaced the same friction: mainstream CMS platforms were either too opinionated (WordPress), too complex (enterprise headless), or too rigid to adapt across different types of businesses. We needed something that could model a wine bar's menu, a news portal's editorial structure, and a consultancy's service pages — using the same core system.
Rather than keep bending third-party tools, we built our own.
What We Built
Pelerin CMS is a headless CMS built on Astro and SQLite, designed specifically for small and medium content-oriented websites. Its flexible collection schema can model a wide range of business types without customisation:
- Company presentation sites — pages, services, team, testimonials
- Blogs and editorial sites — posts, authors, categories, rich-text content
- Online directories and listings — real estate, services, classifieds
- Online communities — member profiles, user-generated content structures
- Marketing and announcement sites — events, promotions, landing pages
It ships with a clean admin UI, an API key-based REST API, media management, localization support, and Docker deployment. Clients get editorial control without developer involvement for day-to-day content updates.
Pelerin CMS is already running in production: it powers both Bruma (wine and coffee bar) and Biz District (entrepreneurial news portal) — two very different content models on the same platform.
Services Proven
Pelerin CMS is evidence of our web development capability at the product level, and our approach to business process modeling — the ability to analyse a client's content and operational needs, and translate them into a data schema that works long-term. We don't just implement tools; we design systems that fit the shape of the business.
